Height: 6 ft 3 in
Weight: 340 lb
Birthplace: Birmingham, Alabama
College: Alabama

Drafted #3 overall by the Bills in the 2011 draft, Marcell Dareus is the future
of the Buffalo Bills defensive line. In college, he was the anchor of the Alabama Crimson Tide defense, that was ranked 1st in the country. In 2009, he led the SCC in sacks, and in 2010 he won the Defensive MVP Award in the BCS Championship Game.

Dareus started all 16 games for the Bills as a rookie, and registered 5.5 sacks, often showing dominance in the trenches. His ability to stuff the run and athleticism in rushing the passer makes him a prototypical defensive end in the NFL. After years of blown first round draft picks, Marcell Dareus seems to be the real deal. With Dareus' continuing development, and the fact he is lined up beside Pro-Bowler Bills NT, Kyle Williams, it's not a far cry to say the Bills have one of the most promising defensive lines in the game.

2012 should be a monster year for Dareus, and could lead to his first Pro-Bowl nod. He will be a nightmare for opposing teams' quarterbacks for the next decade.
